Short biography

 

Joseph Ferandez (nicknamed “The Blessed”) was born in April 20, 1982 and spent his formative years in Bicol, Philippines. He moved to Manila when he was still a teenager to finish his studies.

A hard worker: in Malabon fish market during the night with his older brothers and a trainer in Malabon gym during the day.  

Joseph was always an athletic young man and his first sport was volleyball. But when he saw the movie “Pumping Iron” (with Arnold Schwarzenegger), he decides to become a bodybuilder.

Try to imagine Joseph as a “paper-weight” (less than 120 lbs!!!) in his first bodybuilding competition.

In 2011, he started real bodybuilding with proper training, diet and supplementation.

Due to his excellent genetics and body symmetry, he made quick and impressive progress and become Mr Philippines PABF in May 2012.

His latest career achievement was to get his IFBB pro card by winning the HKFBF Invitational Bodybuilding Championship in July 2014.

Joseph is now considering a career as a professional bodybuilder.
